Information I received from Teesside Archives Middlesbrough England shows a March 3, 1907 marriage between Pasquale & Pasqua Facchini at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hartlepool, England. The surname of Facchini is a common one, and with spelling variations it makes it difficult to get accurate confirmation. I would like to get other information from the St. Joseph's records for this marriage (couple's date of birth, name of parents, home address etc..) that would serve to confirm that they are the correct people. I have tried to locate this information using the St. Joseph web page, but all the links seem to connect with membership type search engins or having to start with a "free trial" to go any further etc.. I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions and please reply to [email protected]
Hi Carola? Did you obtain the marriage certificate? It would give you the couples names, their condition, age, occupation, residence, fathers names and occupations and witnesses names (who may or may not be connected) all assuming they gave the information of course The Catholic Church register would contain the very same details but may also have some other notes on them, but may not The Catholic Church has always been somewhat reluctant to share its records so you may find difficulty finding anywhere that has them other than the Church itself In my experience most Churches unless they have a more modern priest are reluctant to get involved with modern ways of communicating, so whilst they may have an email address and perhaps a web page, they may not monitor them I think its a case of head office telling them they have to have a web presence but thats as far as it gets So a snail mail letter is more likely to succeed Looking at the GRO index, which has two couples per page in the period, Pasquale FACCHINI appears to have married either Luisetta MARTINA or Isabella PICKERING (my money would be on Luisetta :-) Yes Teeside indexes say the same Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 10/07/2014 21:07, [email protected] wrote: > > > Information I received from Teesside Archives Middlesbrough England > shows a March 3, 1907 marriage between Pasquale & Pasqua Facchini > at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hartlepool, England.
