I am assuming that his death certificate would be in Worcester. Is this correct? Here is the information Charles L Brown b.9 March 1912, North Adams, MA. d. winter of 1959 Worcester, MA. (his body was held over in a vault until spring til he could be buried.)/" If he died in the city limits of Worcester, the City Clerk would be the one to contact for a death certificate. They have a website: http://www.worcesterma.gov/e-services/search-public-records Some records are searchable on line, but yours is out of the date range available. The website might give additional instructions for ordering a death certificate, such as fee information. I think I would send a written request with a check if known amount, and say he died approximately Dec. 14, 1959 or guess at some other close date. If you just say "Winter", they might not even look! Good luck, SB
