I have windows home premium. I did have some programs form xp that I was able to put on 7 but I had one that I could not. It was Print Shop vs 10. It only went to xp. At this time I don’t think that I will go to the pro version. Thanks for your comments. Or did you get windows 7 professional? in windows 7 home edition, you will NOT be able to install old programs as those used in windows xp. Only way to do that.. use old programs used in previous windows... XP or Vista.. YOU MUST have windows professional with the XP virtual mode installed. If you google "upgrade win 7 to professional edition.. you should be able to upgrade. I think I paid like $88.00 or maybe $98 for my upgrade. Also be sure you make an 'image' copy to your external drive.. (sea gate is best)... then do the up grade. And do the upgrade ASAP before you have many many files on the hard drive.. I remember it was a little radiating sun on my task bar and that I put the document on notepad and cleaned it up then printed it out. Does anyone still use this and can you send me a link?
