For a while I kept my tree updated on FTM, Reunion 9, and GeditcomIII until I made up my mind which I like best. Each one handles a certain task better than the other but all three had shortcomings. The shortcomings could of course be my lack of diligence to fully understand how the software works. FTM and Reunion are my favorites and I decided on FTM solely because of the automatic synch facility with my tree on Ancestry.com. There are times when the "hints" are a pain but I have also found quite a few relatives with almost no search time. The main "shortcoming" I had trouble with was handling families with more than one spouse. I have several families in my tree where a spouse died and the remaining partner remarried and had more children. Good luck with your choice, Gale Gorman Houston
