Drew, Thanks for your reply. Since you asked why - I am currently teaching a class for fairly inexperienced computer users centering on ways a computer can be used in the pursuit of genealogy. It is not about searching Ancestry, Family Search, etc.--someone else is teaching that class--but rather on creating a system of folders for your documents and photos, using word processing programs to write family stories, editing photos to use in family histories, and using genealogy software. Several people in the class have recent experience in downloading a software application and ending up with some disruptive malware--fortunately nothing devastating, but very annoying. I had major problems myself after downloading (from what I always thought was a trusted download source) a photo-editing application. Anyway, one of the people in the class does not have genealogy software and wanted to know if I knew whether it was "safe" to download the My Heritage Family Tree Builder. I didn't really expect to have a problem, but hated to suggest that she download it without at least asking if anyone else had any problems. Thanks for your feedback.
