    3. Hi ?? I am extremely glad you find new search all you wish of a search engine I for one (and from other comments and posts I am not alone) do not It is utter garbage They are trying to make the search interface more usable with smart phones and tablets, they have said that In the process they have made it unusable with computers I appreciate no one likes change, I can put up with change where there is a valid reason, in this case there isn't one I totally understand the need to rewrite software to keep pace with current demands from smart phones and tablets but all they had to do was replicate the old search functionality in the new search But no they have abandoned the old search to a shotgun approach as they think that users will be happier with half a million totally unconnected results rather than the half dozen close results As I have said previously, its pointless asking for Old search to be reinstated, but they could give us the same search capability in new search, but no they have given us this pathetic attempt at a search engine They know a portion of those who complain will simply give in and continue to pay them for an inferior service There is no doubt that Ancestry has the largest coverage of UK records around, but if you can't find anything what use is it They have turned a very enjoyable site into a totally joyless one Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 11/03/2014 19:30, The Cohens wrote: > I have watched this discussion with interest, as NEW SEARCH never > worked for me when I tried it before, a good year or two ago.
