Yes, all users of MyFamily will be able to export content from the active group sites they are a part of. In what format will my content be exported? Content will be exported into .zip folders which contain files appropriate for the given content. For example, photos will be exported as .jpeg files and videos will be exported in the file format used to upload them. How long will it take for your export tool to package my content once I've requested it? While the time it takes to generate an export package is largely determined by how many other requests were received at the same time, please allow at least 48 hours for the link to arrive via email. What if I or someone in my group uses the site during the retirement period and adds more content to my group site after I’ve already exported my data? Will I be able to request more than one export to capture any new content created on the group site? Yes, you will be able to export your data as many times as you would like should you or someone in your group upload additional content during the retirement period. If new content is added to the site that you would like to export, you need to request a new export file be generated. The new export file will contain the same data that was available in previous imports, but will now also contain the new content that has been added. But if you have five sites there I suggest you apply for a freepages account at rootsweb, and then make sure you have all the goodies such as pictures on your computer and then grit your teeth and learn to run a website.
