Diana, looks like perhaps newspapersarchive has opened to the public... that's good news! I had not checked it in a while. There may be a slight difference between the institutional version and the home version, I don't know. But if your library offers it free, then that's an extra bonus. I wouldn't think that your location would impact your ability to access it through your online connection to your library. I don't know how libraries operate in Australia.
