I've "rescued" an old photograph of George OLSON and his bride Emma NILSON or NELSON (written both ways on the various documents) which was taken at the Brandt Studio in Seattle sometime in the early 1900's. In addition to George and Emma, the photograph includes Emma's brother Gustaf Adolph NILSON or NELSON and a woman I believe to be Jenny LINDH. All four appear to be in their 20's or 30's at the time the photograph was taken. I suspect that this photograph was taken on the occasion of George and Emma's wedding in July 1912 with the other two pictured their witnesses at the wedding. Someone has also written the name Edith J. GARDNER NILSON on the back of the photograph along with the word "Father" so I'm not sure what that reference is intended to mean - maybe that is the Mother to Emma and Gustaf? In addition to this photograph I've also recovered the marriage certificate belonging to George OLSON and his bride Emma Charlotta NELSON, both of Seattle, WA who were married in Seattle in July 1912. The certificate is written all in Swedish so I'm not able to translate it all. A third item is the decorative baptism certificate for Elna Frida Charlotta OLSON who was born 5 Feb 1913 in Seattle, WA and baptized on 10 Jan 1914 in Seattle as well. The Godparents are listed as Fredrick H. LIND and Ellen Augusta LIND and the ceremony was performed by Pastor C. E. FRISK. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following additional information regarding the family: George T. OLSON was b. 21 Jun 1884 and died 30 Jun 1949 and is buried in the Lake View Cemetery in Seattle, WA. OLSON, wife, age 38, married at age 21, born Sweden, parents born Sweden, to USA 1906 Elna F. OLSON, dau, age 17, born WA Harry G. OLSON, son, age 15, born WA Ester D. OLSON, dau, age 13, born WA Elin V. OLSON, dau, age 10, born WA Teddy M. OLSON, son, age 4 years + 6 months, born WA Lorraine L. OLSON, dau, age 2 years + 11 months, born WA 1940 census of Seattle, WA: George T. OLSON, age 55, born Sweden, a City Light Laborer Emma C. OLSON, wife, age 48, born Sweden Elna C.
