I sent Byron some maps which couldn't be included here, so for anyone who cares, Crosse Keys is a historic pub, still existing, near St. Paul's. The Temple Bar was the gate to the City that was immediately west of St Pauls. And, Byron, I found the actual location on the 1666 map. I think I was not specific enough on my response to you. Here's the 1666 map: http://mapco.net/london/1666liberties.htm The Temple Bar is at "A" the Crosse Keys between #s 31 and 32, following east from St Pauls up Cheapside to "R" then down Leadenhall Street to Grace Church Street. The current address of the "replacement pub" is 9 Gracechurch Street.
