I've "rescued" an old photograph of the Class of 1904 from Stevens Seminary which was taken at the Hassan Studio in Glencoe, MN. The photograph includes portraits of each of the 14 students from that class including, Lucile DUELLE. Lucile is the only student I have been able to identify based on another photograph of her posted on a historical society website. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Lucile and her family: Lucile A. DEUEL was born July 1885 in Wisconsin to parents Calvin H. DEUEL (b. 1848) and Belle S. (b. 1845). Lucile had a sister as well, Edna M. DEUEL b. 1875. Census records provide the following details: 1900 census of Glencoe Village, MN: Calvin DEUEL, age 52, born Feb 1848, married 30 years, born NY, parents born NY, a Manager of Elevator Belle DEUEL, wife, age 53, born Apr 1847, married 30 years, 3 children/2 living, born NY, parents born VT Maud DEUEL, dau, age 25, born May 1875, born WI, a School Teacher Lucile DEUEL, dau, age 14, born Jul 1885, born WI, at School + 1 Servant + 3 Boarders 1910 census of Glencoe, MN: Calvin H. DEUEL, age 62, married 39 years, born NY, parents born NY, a Grain Buyer Belle DEUEL, wife, age 65, married 39 years, 3 children/2 living, born NY, parents born VT Lucile A. DEUEL, dau, age 24, born WI, a Public School Teacher Thomas MCCONNELL, son-in-law, age 46, married 5 years, born OH, parents born Scotland, a Traveling Grocery Salesman Edna M. MCCONNELL, dau, age 35, married 5 years, no children, born WI + 1 Servant + 2 Boarders I am hoping to locate someone from Lucile's family or from one of the other students families so that the precious photograph can be returned to family.
