    3. You have been hunting them a long time. Are you sure they married in a civil way? Marriage was rough and ready, I remember reading an article on why Pennsylvania started requiring marriage licenses. Largely because in the 1880's a lot of couples started to want divorces and tied up court time trying to prove their case.
