They read like Who is Who in New York City, wealthy families! They did not take their wills to surrogate's court. They took to Supreme Court to be heard by the justices sitting at the City Hall of New York City. http://www.sampubco.com/wills/ny/newyork.htm

    3. If you have ancestors from Quebec, you may have a Revolutionary War patriot "hidden" in your family tree. If you are a woman interested in joining the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and you have Quebec lineage, I would be happy to look for a French Canadian patriot in your tree. I just need some information on your grandparents and great-grandparents with Quebec heritage. Even if you don't know much beyond your grandparents and great-grandparents, that is fine. My email address is linked on my website "Index to French Canadian Revolutionary War Patriots" located at: http://www.learnwebskills.com/patriot/frenchcanadianpatriots.htm Debbie Duay dlduay@yahoo.com

I am seeking the parents of Charles Edward Ziermann.  Both parents were born in Germany.  Charles was born 1835 in Pennsylvania and died 1895 in Memphis, Shelby Co, TN.  Charles was a physician.  Charles was married 1879 to Mrs. Clara Neepe Woerner.  Hope someone can identify Charles' parents for me.  Thanks, Dixie

    3. You have been hunting them a long time. Are you sure they married in a civil way? Marriage was rough and ready, I remember reading an article on why Pennsylvania started requiring marriage licenses. Largely because in the 1880's a lot of couples started to want divorces and tied up court time trying to prove their case. Divorce was very expensive so many just left the old partner and took up with the new. Eliz Not Today and Not without a Fight (Anon) For all that has been, thanks. For all that will be, yes. 3. I didn't know WC had green leaves, that was always an Ancestry tree feature. Eliz Not Today and Not without a Fight (Anon) For all that has been, thanks. For all that will be, yes. 1. [ROOTS-L] Looking for Damon ELLIS born about 1943
    2. Beverly via
    3. Hello, I’m looking for a man named Damon ELLIS that lived in CA. probably somewhere in the Bay area near San Francisco. As far as I know he was in college studying to be a commercial artist in 1963. He is the birth father of my son who was born in November 1963 in San Francisco. We adopted through the Children’s Home Society in Oakland, CA. My son’s birth mother was a senior in high school at that time and I believe her maiden surname is STEIN. Any information, please! ~Blessings, Bev in Calif.

BUT, one of my major research approaches was to check my newly updated gedcoms with the Ancestry “green leave’s” that popped up with vital records, etc. It has been weeks at this point, with no explanation as to when the “green leaves” feature would be enabled. My inquiry to the help desk was totally unacceptable. They offered NO solution as when the problem would be resolved. PLEASE someone fix this problem. Can others write and complain?
