Just curious, are you downloading the beta version, or the final version. I didn't think the final version with the CD was available yet. As I ordered the 2017 version with CD amd haven't heard from them. So I figured it wasn't through beta testing. I attempted to download the beta version, didn't work right, so didn't go any further, with inputting data. On Aug 9, 2017 12:31 PM, "Lena Truster" <lent@wt.net> wrote: > I can’t download the 2017. I assume you are using the Mac version and I downloaded it from MacKiev with no problem other than the download was very slow. There was a message stating something to the effect that if you didn’t get a .dmg file the download had not completed. If you clicked on the file before the extension was only .dmg you will need to start over. Good luck, and BTW I may be one of the few on this list to know where Midway is. Mike It is not how much memory you have installed but how much free memory you have. With your type of problem it might help to also give the type of computer (PC or MAC) and the operating system. If you have Windows 10, look at the task manager (ctl+alt+del) It will have lots of information. Do you have multiple programs running at one time? That can use up a lot of memory. So sorry for your loss. What I was saying about the Scandinavian...that is fine if you were expecting it but it it was more than expected it could also be due to British or Germanic ancestry or any Northwestern European. Italian (although not 30%) could also be just about all of Europe considering Roman Empire influence. The ethnicities can be pretty ancient. The Scandinavian part is not a problem, wifes surname was Johnson, have it back to Sweden in 1680. My big problem is the 30% Italian, would have to be on fathers side (originally from N. Jersey) Would have to be between 1840 to 1870 and just not finding them in the genealogy. And with a 30% rating you would have to assume a very close relation or relative. > > If a great-grandmother was only partly Native American I would not expect to find a high percentage of NA DNA. If the NA great-grandparent was full-blooded NA the average would only be about 12.5%...and less than full-blooded would be less...or possibly not showing at all. If there is Mexican inheritance that alone could account for NA DNA as the Mexican people usually have a fairly significant NA percentage. This part I get, and sad to say her mom passed last weekend, I'd have liked to have had some closure on her mom's side and still wondering if the info that wife's sister has would have been a clue.Since she she promised me months ago she'd send the info. jan ===== If you would prefer digest mode to mail mode, drop a note to roots-admin@rootsweb.com and ask for the digest... ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

For what it's worth, FTm may not be your problem. I would look at the print driver system 115 pages may be too much for the buffer. If you are using the FTM 2017, you should reach out to Maciev support. While I think it's likely you've run out of RAM memory, it's also possible you've stumbled onto a bug. They'll be able to help you sort it better than any of us could. That’s MacKiev If you are using a Mac you can click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner and then clean on “about this Mac” to find out how much memory you have available. I forget what it's called but they are referring to the other memory, not the hard drive size. See if your computer can accept more memory chips.
