    1. [ROOTS-L] Heritage Quest - 1930 census, Schuyler Co., IL
    2. BARTON LEWIS
    3. The 1930 census page I'm looking at on Ancestry is too faded so I tried to get it on Heritage Quest. The year is 1930; roll is 560 and page is 3B. Heritage Quest is not finding page 3B. Entering in just "3" takes me to Sangamon County, IL. I want Browning, Schuyler County. The family is that of Dolla [Dollie] M Venters. Does anyone know how I can access this page on Heritage Quest? Thanks, Barton Lewis

    2. Sandra Jacobson
    3. Barbara..here is a tidbit of information I just found out the hard way. I needed information from a message I sent back in February 2012 and was I surprised to find Comcast/Xfinity deleted my sent folder. I now only have sent files from June on! Hubby and I did not realize there was a setting in the Preferences (top of your e-mail screen) that you MUST change or it will delete your e-mails!! So check your preferences while you are at it.. I would agree to download all your e-mail onto your computer and do not keep it on Xfinity/Comcast site.. I use Microsoft Outlook! Sandy _______ Subject: ROOTS Digest, Vol 7, Issue 219 1. I need HELP from someone famliar with comcast/xfinity (Barbara Young) I am in a terrible mess with my email folders in Comcast/Xfinity. ...... -Barbara Young

    3. Hi Barbara I am not familiar with Comcast / Xfinity but assume its web mail ? My suggestion would be to use something like Thunderbird for our email Once set up it will download your mail onto your computer, where you can sort it, colour code it or reorganise it into folders if desired (it can also put designated mails into their own folders if desired) You can still look at your web mail if you wanted to but generally you would have no need to In Thunderbird you could sort the mails you want to keep and sift out those you want to delete <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_accounts_in_Thunderbird_for_popular_email_providers> Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 18/07/2012 14:16, Barbara Young wrote: > > Hi Listers, > > I am in a terrible mess with my email folders in Comcast/Xfinity. > I came to comcast because it was the only thing available where I live - fibre optics is on the way - so they say/ > I had Prodigy/Yadoo where I stored emails I wanted to keep. When an email arrived and I didn't know wherther to delte it or not, I left it alone and would periodiclly go through to delete or keep. Do you provide an index of names for the counties you list for a particular record type? When I clicked on "Wills" I did not then find a clickable link to those two counties with a list of names. 3. Hi Diane I assume you mean Llangammarch in Wales ? Usually a quick google for the place name followed by the word Genuki elicits the facts but not in this case Another ploy is the words Registration District followed by the place name but again its a no So looking at the 1871 census for Llangammarch for a child born in 1871 finds several but Margaret VEST fits the bill for this purpose She was registered under the registration district of Builth It does look like the Civil Parish of Llangammarch straddles a County border but would expect registrations to be in Builth Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 17/07/2012 17:43, Diane Sodden wrote: > Please could some kind soul kindly advise me as to the register district of the above name in 1871 do you think? > > Thanks very much. > > Diane

The Mahoning list gave me the answer that while my 2Xggf naturalized in 1869 there would be no mention of where in England he came from (Wales actually *G*) Very upsetting when that was pretty much the last place to find his birth place.
