Emery, You may want to ask that question on the RootsMagic-Users list, instead of on the (unrelated) Roots list. I now get WorldConnect when I go to http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ What I expect happened is that its new home had a different IP number than its old home. IP numbers are cached, but by your ISP (not your browser) ... so when the cached ISP is out of sync with the new ISP, you don't get anything useful until the cache expires and a new IP number is fetched. I mention this geeky sounding stuff because my ISP's cache may have expired before yours. If you don't have WorldConnect now, just keep trying. Don't panic: it's waiting for you! Karen
Hello listers, It just occurred to me that when I upgraded from RM 5 to 6 I didn't get another installation CD, I just downloaded it after paying my fee. If I go from XP to windows 7, how do I reinstall the program. I did make back -ups of the data on my flash drive. Thanks Em "You will never leave where you are until you decide where you'd rather be."
Is anyone on the list knowledgeable about the Revolutionary War? Two men named Richard and William Bennett lived in Georgia in the 1780s and received bounty land there. They are associated with families named Cook and Sheffield there. Richard and William Bennett as well as John Cook and Christopher Sheffield all appear on a detachment of levies for the Continental Troops 2d Regiment of Artillery commanded by Col. John Lamb. This regiment was made up of troops from NY, CT and PA. The Bennetts are believed to have lived in NC before moving to GA. It does not seem likely to me if that is the case that they are the men listed on the levies list. Does anyone have an opinion on that? Many thanks for any help in advance. Barton Lewis
I have many pictures from my grandmother I can not ID. Anyone with pictures if family names Lewandowski, Borwicz,Walentarski, Maka/ Monka, Szczerbiak, Blaszkiewicz, Zjala taken in the early 1900's I would appreciate hearing from. DeAnn Jablonski / Leonard

Clear your browser cache and try again...it works for me but you are not the only one seeing this. I know that Randy was moving WorldConnect to a new faster server so it could just be a temporary oops. Joan In a message dated 4/8/2014 7:37:49 P.M. There shouldn't be anything in the cache on my Windows RT. I had never used it to do anything with Rootsweb. Suspect it may be your alternative idea about the server. Need More information. Which version of FTM does your relative use? If it is the later versions, does she have her tree synced with an Ancestry Member Tree (AMT)? If she does, she can download that tree or use her local tree (the FTM file) and create a Gedcom file for you - if you use a different program and cannot import an FTM file. I may not have answered your question, so more information from you might help to answer better! They already exist as a copy in the cloud, and when you then install Evernote on your PC under Windows 7, they should automatically download to your PC. If you're not sure that all your notes are in the cloud, just go to evernote.com, sign in with your Evernote ID and password, and see if a copy of your notes is there.
