Rallitos was born on September 26, 1902 in rural Las Trampas, New Mexico Territory, to Juan Manuel Romero and Teofila Griego Romero. She was one of nine siblings. She was the devoted wife of Juan Nepumoceno Ortega and mother of Conrad and Johnny Ortega, all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving sister, Sister Ann Romero of Marywood, Grand Rapids, Michigan and six adoring daughters, Viola, Connie, Sadie, Teolfila, Frances and Esther and her daughter in-law, Angie. She was dearly beloved by 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was an active mother and housewife who loved sewing, crocheting, gardening and above all spending time with her children and grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, ! CA 94544. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Published in the ANG Newspapers on 2/14/2006.
