My father was born in Tepatitlan in '57, and I'm sad to say that although I can't recall my grandfather's birth year (had to be between 1910 and 1920) I do know he was born or raised as a young child in Tepatitlan. Maybe you can help me. I have an ancestor names Juan Estevan Romero who was born circa 1778 in New Mexico and married to Maria Ynes Vigil, daughter of Juan Cristobal Vigil. I found some baptism records for 2 Juan Estevan Romeros and I'm not sure which one he is since I don't have an exact birth date. However, in his marriage record to Maria Ynes, it doesn't list his parents, it says "from the Jose Tapia family". I have been unable to find the link between him and Tapia family either.
