WILLIAM1 TYLER. He married UNKNOWN. Child of WILLIAM TYLER and UNKNOWN is: 2. i. WILLIAM2 TYLER, b. October-25-1847, Hungerford, Wiltshire; d. January-26-1920, Booval, Queensland. Generation No. 2 2. WILLIAM2 TYLER (WILLIAM1) was born October-25-1847 in Hungerford, Wiltshire, and died January-26-1920 in Booval, Queensland. He married HARRIETT DURHAM August-18-1871 in Unknown. Notes for WILLIAM TYLER: Emigrated on the "Maryborough" from Gravesend on December 9, 1869 arriving in Brisbane April 15, 1870, age 22, steerage passenger. Arrived in the Ipswich district in 1871. Tylerville named after this family. William and Harriett conducted a business as Pork Butcher and Bacon Curer at lower Nicholas Street next to Beirne's Department Store, Ipswich, Queensland. The business closed in 1911. Children of WILLIAM TYLER and HARRIETT DURHAM are: i. FREDERICK WILLIAM3 TYLER, b. January-20-1873, Ipswich, Queensland; d. July-30-1887, Ipswich, Queensland. ii. EMILY FLORENCE TYLER, b. January-22-1875, Ipswich, Queensland; d. April-01-1938, Adelaide, South Australia; m. JOHN ROWELL, November-02-1909. Notes for EMILY FLORENCE TYLER: This is the blind lady who married the 'cad' and ended up in Adelaide. iii. ELLEN GERTRUDE TYLER, b. November-19-1876, ?; d. May-28-1962, ?; m. HENRY GILBERT GRAY, May-11-1898, Churchbank, Fassifern, Queensland. Notes for ELLEN GERTRUDE TYLER: Birth also shown as 1875. Notes for HENRY GILBERT GRAY: Henry reported to have been born at the residence of William Tyler at Mutdapilly. Henry resided at Mutdapilly in Queensland until 1899. Then listed at Palen Creek, Queensland. He and his wife, Ellen, moved to Tylerville in 1899 where they remained until their respective deaths. Henry was a Farmer and then cream carrier for the area carrying cream from Tylerville to Rathdowney where it was loaded onto the tram bound for Beaudesert. In one photograph of Rathdowney, Henry's cart can be seen waiting at 'the end of the line' in Rathdowney. iv. WILLIAM HENRY TYLER, b. November-01-1878, Churchbank, Fassifern, Queensland; d. January-01-1888, West Ipswich, Queensland; d. November-19-1968, Ipswich, Queensland; m. EDWARD FORTESCUE, December-11-1911, Ipswich, Queensland. Notes for EDWARD FORTESCUE: Edward worked for F. Williams & Co., Monumental Masons, before starting his own business as a stonemason and later as a builder of concrete homes.
