I have information on Polk and Dade Co., MO Farris'. In the 1850 Dade Co. census, Thomas Jefferson Farris and family is listed. He went to Oregon, settled in Lane Co. and from there to Jackson Co. where he was a miner and farmer. His son, William, married married my gggrandmother, Margaret Renner Meek.
