Hello, I have a Ludwig Wilhelm Hess (e) married to a Catheine Alt Hess(e) from Staudernheim, Germany. They came to America in 1855, with their three children. The youngest, Leonard, died at sea. William was a mule skinner in the Civil War, and died at Sargents Bluff, Iowa, 23 Feb 1902.
