Fought in Civil War Cary Lou Trilla NIXSON dob 1-24-1872 wife of Andrew Jackson TOLBERT. Born in Louisiana near the Texas border while family was moving from Alabama to Texas. John NIXSON elder brother of Lou Trilla. Owned 3 cotton gins in Amarillo, Potter Co., TX before, during and after the depression. Elizabeth NIXSON dob 11-1-1874 in Quitman, TX. Younger sister of Lou Trilla and John. Began teaching career in Texas in 1898. Became 7th grade teacher at old Johnson Street school in 1913. Became principal of Central Junior High School in 1922.
