    1. [ROLL-CALL-L] FYI POSTING
    2. Hi all, If you know of a good url for searching for genealogy information it might be helpful to post it to the list. This could be a very helpful to some one. I want to encourage each and everyone of you to join in this is your list to discuss topics related to genealogy. We need resources if you have saved up marriage records, obits.,tombstone inscriptions, locale history, ect. Share this with the list it will be a good please to have it stored and will be available for searching in the archives. http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl You should go here and type in different queries you can search by dates, surnames, addresses, ect. *********** Obtaining NATF 80 Forms The National Archives DOES NOT answer requests for specific information about a person through e-mail. All requests are done by form 80 through regular US mail, NOT the internet/e-mail. http://www.outfitters.com/illinois/history/civil/natf.html ******* First, while I have your undivided attention <g> a few posting rules (?). When posting a query to the list always make the Subject line pertinent to your post. ie: Subject: HENSLEY, NADINE SOME Co. You'll find that if you get in the habit of doing this, you'll get many more replies to your queries. Lots of folks use email filters & won't see your message if the Subject line isn't utilized properly. And when your answering a post, change the subject line to reflect the answer (especially when answering a digest list post). Otherwise the Subject line will read: "LISTNAME-D Digest V99 #49" or some such and we won't have a clue of what your replying to. This list has the Reply function set up so that all replies go back to the list. If you also want your reply to go to the person your replying to, you can highlight their email address & then select reply to all & their address should show up in the To: line. If you use a different email program just cut & paste their email address. This would apply also if you want to send a private message to someone. Just replace the reply address with the one that you want to send to. Get your surname roll call in or how are we to know what they are. Nadine Hensley List Owner
