I found a marriage record for a William E Hampton to Matilda Eastin on Sept 23 1841 in Coles County Illinois. Does anyone have any information on this couple ? I have been trying to find any trace of a William Erwin Hampton who is named in the will of William P Hampton that was written and witnessed in McLean County ILL in 1835. All six of William Erwin's sibllings were married in McLean Co between 1840 and 1847 , but no one in the family has been able to find any information on this son at all.
