Hi ---- My Clarks are one of my weak links. James Emerson Orme married 1) Callie (California) Clark. (b. 10/1851 Lamar/Fannin Co., TX---d. 8/1882 in Harrison Co., TX) She is the first child of Johnathan Miles Clark (born in Coosa Co., AL) of Sulphur Springs, Hopkins Co., TX and wife 1) Mary Murphy Gulledge (born in Greenpond, Hopkins Co., TX). They also have children Littleberry Clark (M), Sidney Clark (F), Margaret Clark, & Henrietta Clark. Johnathan's second wife isCordelia Murphy--they have 8 children...John Miles Clark, Cordelila Clark, Elizabeth Clark, Thomas Clark, Robert A. Clark, Walter Lewis Clark, Della Mae Clark, & Edward Clark. That's it...the sum total of my info. I found this information in a book in the Sulphur Springs gen. library. Supposedly, Johnathan Clark was very well off in the 1850/1860's sense of wealth. He ran a general store in the town, had a big house, and later owned one of the first cars in the territory.
