Sorry - There may be a connection; however, ours, Samuel Gainey, came to Liberty County, GA from Chersaw (sp) Dist. SC. His wife was Constant. Known children were Abigail and Micajah. Micajah married in GA, moved to Benton (Calhoun) Cty, AL and from there moved to Leake County, MS. where he died after 1860 - was listed as being 93 years old at that time. Micajah's son was Coley Pendleton Gainey who was married 3 times and fathered 21 children. Thanks for your reply. Louis
