Looking for information on my great grandfather, John Thomas (JT) McCLURE (McLURE). He was born 2 February 1862 in Mayfield, Calloway County, KY. A story has it that he was "kicked out of Mayfield for being the meanest man in town". Don't know when this was but there was suppose to be an article in the Mayfield Messenger or some other paper about it. He was a Rough Rider in MO and associated with Frank and Jesse James after Frank's release from jail (prison). JT died in December 1946 in St. Louis MO. He was married to Dona P. Bunch in Mississippi County, AR. They had 14 children. If anyone has any information I would forever be in your debt!! His father was William "Bill" McCLURE (McLURE) and his mother was Bessie McCLAIN or McCAIN. I don't have anything on his parents except the names.
