Hi Elizabeth-- Thanks for replying about your Woods. Mine was James Wood(s) who was married in Parke Co IN and came to Wapello Co. His daughter Amanda J. married into my McAlister family as the 2nd wife of Charles H. McAlister in 1867. They were in Cooke Co. TX in 1880, and in OK by 1894. I haven't found anything to suggest that any of Amanda's siblings or parents left Iowa. Our library (in NM) has a lot of Lee Co IA material, marriges, etc. and I would be happy to look in them for you.
