    3. Hi List-- I was just scrolling through the "mail" and noticed that a lot of them list the surnames and then the state. There would be a better chance to get replies if a person would also list the counties and dates as below. Doe, John XXXX County, State 1829-1900. I and quite a few others I know, when they see a name and the above information will do lookups from information they have, or will reply also if the surname is one of theirs. In the past I have seen, for example, Smith, Missouri. Now, if they had put Smith, Jasper Co MO, 1875+, I would have replied. Something to think about---and it may get a person more replies! Anna's parents may be Martin and Mary HRUSKA, her sister may be Mary SACK (husband, Joseph Sack). Michael SLEPICKA used Americanization of his name, CHICKEN, very early in Chicago. Other family members may also have used surname CHICKEN. Anna HRUSKA used the Americanization/literal translation of her name, PEAR and PEARY, most of her adult life. Michael and Anna SLEPICKA left Chicago in 1883 and settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are believed to have left both of their families in Chicago.
