My husband is a descendent of John Howland, Mayflower also. Do you know there is a Howland association, with lots of information..even books written about the Howlands. I am interested in your Black name. All I know is my Thomas Black originated in North Carolina or South Carolina. I know he was in Meriwether Ga in 1850 and dead by 1860. My grandfather was a Issac Russell Black born in 1843 in Ga. His father died and he was raised by a African American family. I was told he was Irish but was raised by African Americans.
