My father Harry Talbot Bennett died in a truck wreck when I was 1 (1940). I lost touch with all of the Bennett's after that. Recently, I've started to look into my Father's family. Here is what I know so far: All of this happened in Missouri. Allen Bennett married a Sarah??? in about 1880. They had several children including my Grandfather William R. Bennett who was born in 1882 Dallas County, Missouri. My Grandfather married a Laura Bledsoe from Virginia in 1901. They had four boys (Gordon, Charles, Ralph and Harry) and two girls (Mary Ellen and Dorothy). I have a couple of other bits of info if the connection seems possible. Please let me know. By the way, my stepfather is John Clark. There was some controversy at his birth. His mother, Bertha Smith, died giving birth and his Father August Smith gave him to a cousin (Helen Clark) to raise.
