I received a lot of information regarding the Bowman/Lilley connection from a distant cousin who lives in MO. Her and my ancestors, Bowman (F) sisters, married Lilley cousins if I remember right. As far as we know, he was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina around 1895 and died in 1944 of a stroke in York County SC, I'm in process of tracking down his parents who family member say are Lawson Ferrill of Mecklenburg County North Carolina and Cora Akins of North Carolina.
