    1. Brick wall in NYC
    2. Peggy & David Powell
    3. Maybe one of you can suggest something that I can't see. A time line can't even help me. Charles married Henrietta aka Nettie in NYC in 1912. Charles family is in Bergen co., NJ just like they are supposed to be. Henrietta's family ......... 1880 - there are many Wm, Henrietta, and Amelia surnames 1900 - there are many Wm surnames. no Henrietta and Amelia. only 2 Rachel. 1920 - still many Wm, no Henrietta and Amelia. One family in 1900 might fit the bill. Only problem is, Grandma didn't talk about siblings. She only ever mentioned two, Wm and Melia. 1900 show Wm, 37; Rachel, 35; Johnnie, 13; Charles, 10; Nettie, 7; Wm, 6; Emma, 4, and Geo. 5/12. Nettie aka Henrietta - birth date is off two years. I can live with that if need be. Problem - By 1920, even Wm and Emma aren't there. And there is never an Amelia. City directories don't seem to help. Family apparently moved too often. Went through the SSDI, found a few year matches, but only one or two month matches. I have the 1880, 1900, and 1920 soundex for Iowa, NJ, and NY. 1880, 1900 - surname - Bolte and Ranniger in Iowa 1880, 1900, 1920 - surname - YOUNG in NY 1880, 1900 - surname - Schweisberger in NJ 1880 - surname - Winter in MS Suggestions??????? Thanks in advance. Peggy

    2. JHuskey
    3. Looking for Towle families in wisc. mid 1800's on....James Ira Towle, possibly born Maine, son of Francis Towle born Scotland. James born 1843, died 1928 in Birnamwood. believe to be Civil War Union vet, married Hannah Daily/Dailey/Daly....they had Melvin, Dora, Evan, elmer, Erwin, Ira, Ina, george, margaret ellen(nellie)...some of kids born in Shawano Cty...other born in Waupaca. As young adults moved around alot..some to Wausau... Estimate James came to Birnamwood area in 1882 to build a saw mill....need to know where he was prior to that. He shows up first in 1900 census for Shawano. Does anyone have census for Waupaca prior to 1900? also looking for civil war records...have sent for pension info..believe he was in the wisconsin volunteers. references inRoster of WI volunteers Vol !, pg 484 to James I Towle living in Oshkosh 8-8-64, in vol. two it lists a James living in Pt. Washington, 1861 ...don't know if they are the same and my wonderful lookup person didn't understand how to read the charts citing the sources. Most appreciative of any help or suggestions Judy Huskey Venice, FL
