My grandmother lived to be 101 and died in 1992. She kept in contact with a childhood friend who was a Hankins. There is a Hankins General Store at Pelsor, AR 72856. This is a very beautiful area in the Boston mountains, north of Russellville, AR and this is the only store there so, I'm sure that mail would reach them if sent General Delivery. Is there any one out there that is searching the above names for the Renfrew co. area? I am also looking for a Twp called Pakenham in the Renfrew district, does anyone know exactly where this place is or if it had a name change? I have searched the Ontario gazeteer and found a Packenham Tp in Lanark Co., and an older book list Pakenham tp in Renfrew but none of the films has that name on them that I have been able to find so far.
