There were only two blind homes that I know of and one of them was on 17th and Forrest Avenue in Nashville and there was another one Cloverbottom School of the Blind that is in Donelson, TN. I believe there are books which discuss the Trail of Tears in detail and there may be microfilm in the National Archives with tribal lists. It wouldn't hurt to check the NARA web site to see. Good luck.
