They lived in London, England & set sail for America between 1905 and 1909. They were to land in Portland, Me. but there was a storm at sea and I believe they landed in Halifax, N.S. I am seeking information on the following surnames in AL. Probably lived in Cullman, Jefferson or Blount Counties. My grandfather, Rube (Rheuben) Warren was born 02 Jan 1890. His mother was Mary Elizabeth Mann born AL Nov 1871. I think his father's last name was Reed/Reid/Read but have never found any specific information. Spending most of my time on: YINGER/JUENGER/JUNKER (looking for the original name..), RAUCH (attempting to find name of great great grandparents), and REITZENSTEIN (trying to find the village of origin in Volga region of Russia; and establish a link between the Volga Reitzensteins and those of native Germany. I have found Reitzensteins in Bavaria, Baden, Wuerrtemberg, Saxony, Hesse, Saarland, Prussia, and Austria -- and even possible relatives who were among the "Hessians" stationed in Canada during the American Revolutionary War.
