Looking for information on my grandfather and his family. My grandfather was Francis Edward Van Buren born Oct 3, 1908 in the Chicago area. He had two brothers, Martin and Eugene Van Buren. I do not have birth dates for them, but I know that my grandfather was the youngest of the three boys. My greatgrandparents were Francis Edward and Ella Van Buren. My direct lines include two of the most common Irish surnames ---SULLIVAN and GERRITY so you can imagine the difficulty I am having in researching these lines. It is especially difficult since the SULLIVAN line settled in PA-Old Forge, Minooka, Taylor and Scranton. The GERRITY line settled in PA-Scranton, Ledgesdale and Carbondale (with a little Wisconsin mixed in for good luck). I am trying my best to get a handle on my SULLIVAN clan in PA specifically those that settled in 1820-1930 in Scranton and surrounding areas such as Old Forge, Minooka, Taylor and onward.
