Hi!! Looking for any information about Evalina Riddle, mother of Edward Anthony Lewis. Due to divorce I have lost all contact with this side of my family. Father: Tony (Anthony) Lewis, but this is not his "real" name as he was an illegal Greek stow-away to Los Angeles and changed his name from what "I don't know!!" Reason for my search actually!! Anyway, Evalina Riddle left and went up to San Fransisco area when Eddie (Edward) was in early teens. She had a brother, William Riddle, married to Gynell (spelling) and they lived in La Habra during the middle 1950's. They had 4 children, William, Darrel, James and Juanita. (Juanita at one time was believed to have married a Simmons) These children would now be in their 60's and 70's. Eddie went to Edison Junior High. but I believe it is no longer in LA. He served in the Navy during WW2 and was a certified welder working for Borg Manufacturing during the early 50's. Edward Anthony Lewis b. is definetly in Oct., I think, the 19th, in 1923. If anyone has any thing to add it would be appreciated. Thank you, Curious Marie ô¿ô Looking under every Rock!!
Does anyone know what "groote imbogt" means? It was listed under "remarks" of a marriage record for the groom, while remarks for the bride listed her birthplace. Thanks. Any help will be appreciated. Cheryl cpmalm@peganet.com Main surnames I'm researching are PULVER, FINGER/FINGAR, all from New York

The first three digits indicate the state shown in the mailing address on the original application. The lowest Social Security numbers were assigned to the New England states, and the numbers grew progressively higher in the South and West. However, in recent years, this geographical relationship has been disrupted somewhat by the need to allocate numbers out of sequence as state populations change. The middle two digits of a Social Security number have no special significance, but merely serve to break the numbers into blocks of convenient size. The last four digits represent a straight numerical progression of assigned numbers."
