Mary's parents were John Eddy and Mary Ward. I have tried in vain to gather something on these two. They have what really are common names among the Eddy and Ward lines. All I have is possible born in NJ. I was on the Ward list for months and could make no connections. The only Eddy's found in Sangamon area, if they even went there were the ones who went with the Donner Party, which no one has been able to identify other than they came from New England area, not NJ. So, don't know where to look next for them. Mary Caroline Roll is mine. They left IL about 1867 and moved to Marion, KS where she died 18 Dec 1877.
