Thanks Kathy for sending the dates on Abigail who married James Ayres. I sent P. 4 of my research, did you get it? It gives all the dates and information that I have on that family and continued P. # if I have any further information on the children. You have 10 children listed and that might be because you have a Betsy and an Elizabeth. I only have an Elizabeth. Don't take it out of your research because I could be wrong. Sometimes when people lost a child, they would give a later child the same name and it has happened over and over again. For instance, one family had three sons, each died as babies or young children and each was named George Washington Roll. It is in my research and I don't think they ever had one to live by that name. I would have to look it up again to be sure but many times, a baby would die and another would get the name. Everything that I have on that family is on my P. # 4. If you didn't get it, I can send it to you again. Thanks Nancy for sending what you have. I don't know if this is a brother to Daniel Ayres who married Elizabeth Roll but I believe it was. This part really threw us for awhile, I mean some of us on the Roll Research. The part that threw us was that Elizabeth (Roll) and Daniel Ayres had a son named James Ayres who married Abigail Roll. We just did not believe that James Ayres married his Aunt and it was not so. James Ayres, son of Elizabeth and Daniel married Abigail Roll, 5th child of John & Martha (Force) Roll. I just noticed Kathy, you have the marriage date for the James Ayres, son of Elizabeth Roll & Daniel Ayres, who married the Abigail Roll, daughter of John & Martha (Force) Roll and not for the Abigail Roll who married the James Ayres, daughter of Isaac & Sarah (Cauldwell) Roll. I hope this is not confusing and it can be until you look at the pages. What I send is exactly like I have and it is all that I have. If you will get a printout of what I send, you will have a printed copy of my notebook and all the information in it. I have made a lot of mistakes and I see it almost every time I open the notebook. Like I sent the P. 53 and noticed that it was in bad need of repair. Don't change your records to fit mine because I have made a lot of typing errors and otherwise. I don't change my records until I see the proof and I warn others to do the same. We all make mistakes, and I make more than most people. Nancy, I have 2 sons at home, one 19 who went to live with his dad for the last 5 years. He finished school and did a year in Tech. School and came back after his dad married again, as a genius. It's amazing how dumb I am but in a few years, it will be amazing how smart I have become. I HATE teenagers. The other one is 16 and is a Jr. in High School. He is really good on the computer. He came home the other day and told me that he had to do his family Genealogy for a class. I asked him if he told the teacher that I had it and he told me No. He is going to take the notebooks in, drop them on the desk and say, "Do I get an A?" Last night, a neighbor talked about a family crest. The 19 year old, Chuck, said that was neat, he wondered what his family crest was. My mouth about dropped to my feet. I told him to go in and open the black notebook to the first page and he would see his family crest. I didn't know these kids didn't know anything about the Genealogy. I had hoped that his 4 daughters or one of my sons would take over the work but it doesn't look like any of them are interested. But then, Isaac Clifford Roll or Roland H. Roll's kids never took over their work either. I am glad that these men shared their work with other and we got it and I have done the same. I can't name all the people who have helped me with the research in any page or several pages, but they are all listed in my pages. I know that I might should not do this with living people but they sent the records and didn't tell me to not record it so whoever sent it, it is recorded. I think they want to know their relatives just like we did. Nancy, these boys just pick me up and move me off the computer and they are that big. However, I have a son in the Army and another in the Air Force, both dedicated military, and I've told them all that it didn't matter if they were 5 Star Generals, they better not back talk me and they don't. So, they move me when I let them move me. When I put my foot down, they don't question my authority. To stop a full scale war, I will probably get another computer soon and they won't be allowed to use it. How's that for being stern? Audrey, I've worked on the Roll Genealogy for more than 20 years but not alone. I've worked with other researchers and did record swapping with some of them so I can't take the credit for the work. We got Littell's work and then Isaac Clifford Roll & Roland H. Roll's Work and continued it from there. The record swap was with Evelyn L. Norweb, Charlotte Giltner and Marguerite Roll. The research was by me, T. Lynn Kennedy and Janis Holland. All the names and Addresses of the people who sent information to me is in the research. I won't take credit for this work. I continued the work of others and put together what all these people sent me. All of these people named in the pages are the ones to thank for the research. Remember, the only way to get the updated records are with families. All else is blocked for 75 years. Genealogy is never finished. Martha
