-- [ From: Nancy Lohbrunner * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] -- Hi Ron and Dot: It will take me a couple more days to get in touch with the other researcher, meanwhile you might want to join the KS-KIN mailing list. I belong to it and I know others have asked about census reports. You can join and inquire about the census, I'm sure someone will be able to tell you what to do. Seems to me (I'm guessing) that census microfilm can be had through inter-library loan from the Kansas Historical Society. The KS-KIN list may be an open list and you might be able to post a query without subscribing if you do not want to join. Send a query to KS-KIN- [email protected] make sure you write to reply to you and not the list. To subscribe to the list send e-mail to [email protected] in the body of the message put subscribe KS-KIN-L first name last name nothing else as it is read by a computer. The first and last names will be your own name. The Kansas Historical Society does have a web site, but I do not know what it is. You might try to find it through one of the search engine. They might even have the census microfilm numbers posted. My grgr-grandparents, Issac Brooks RALL (was Roll) and wife Mary Jane LaTourette went from Ohio to Indiana to Kansas where they homesteaded and eventually died there. No, we've not heard from anyone except you - we have no idea where to look for more info, as Kansas census reports are not available locally and didn't know where to secure them. Also, felt it not necessary to repeat someone's else work, except to secure documentation. Any leads or clues will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks again, Ron and Dot -------- REPLY, End of original message --------
