I can't find George L. Mitchell in the Index of my records. Charles W. Roll is Charles Wesley Roll, 12th child of Wesley & Anne (Smith) Roll. He was married to Mary Cordelia (DeBaun) in 1868 at Newark, N.J. and they lived there. Charles W. Manning was the 2nd child of Phoebe Van Dyke (Roll) & Charles G. Manning. Phoebe was the 2nd child of Isaac & Catherine (Van Dyke) Roll. Isaac was the 8th child of Abraham & Prudence (Vance) Roll. Abraham was the 2nd child of John & 1st wife, Rachel (Van Winkle) Roll. John was the 1st child of John & Elizabeth (Sickles) Roll. Charles W. Manning married Mattie Cook Sprague. Walter Roll was Walter Harrison Roll, 8th child of Isaac Clausen & Harriet N. (Freeman) Roll. Isaac Clausen was the 5th child of Isaac & Susan (Whitehead) Roll. Isaac was the 10th child of Abraham & 2nd wife, Catherine (Vreeland) Roll. Abraham was the 4th child of John & Elizabeth (Sickles) Roll. Walter Harrison Roll married: (1) Anna Kirkassner (or Kirschgassner) and (2) Lulu Schooley. I can't find the R.R. Franz in my Index. Washington McLean Roll was married to Sarah Amelia Brashears. The date of this meeting was December 21, 1889. Washington McLean Roll died January 12, 1890 of Typhoid Fever. He was the 9th child of Edward Charles & 2nd wife, Eliza Jane (Riddle) Roll. Edward Charles Roll was the 3rd child of Edward & Phebe (Lauder) Roll. Edward was the 8th child of John & 2nd wife, Edith (Wick) Roll. John was the 1st child of John & Elizabeth (Sickles) Roll. This Edward & Phebe (Lauder) Roll was buried in the Roll Cemetery at Dremen Avenue and West Fork Creek. The cemetery has been destroyed. Some interesting articles on Edward Roll can be found In the Cincinnati Times Star for March 16, 1905. The article is entitled IN OLD GRAVE YARD. Also in the Cincinnati Post for August 1, 1925 an article entitled REMEMBERED. I can't place this Jacob Roll of Hoboken, N.J. I have a lot of Jacob Roll's. The records that I have are far from being updated even after all these years. It's possible that this may be the Jacob Roll, brother to the Charles Wesley Roll from the beginning of this letter. Missed one. Maurice H. Stratemeyer was married to Annie Lucinda Roll. Annie Lucinda was the 3rd child of Jonathan Smith & Lucinda (Kidd) Roll. Jonathan Smith Roll was the 3rd child of Wesley & Anne (Smith) Roll. Wesley was the 9th child of John & Mary (Earl) Roll. John was the 1st child of Isaac & Sarah (Cauldwell) Roll. Isaac was the 3rd child of John & Elizabeth (Sickles) Roll. I thought it would be interesting to place these names. If anyone knows where the 3 belong that I couldn't place, I will appreciate knowing also. My records are a mess. I was a lot better at updating and keeping everything in order but the last 6 years have been a hassle and the genealogy suffered. Then I didn't know all this was on the internet or I would have gotten one of these fancy things a little sooner. Let me tell how much of a mess they are. A lady called last year during the Christmas Holidays. She was part of the Switzerland Family. She wanted some information and I promised to send it to her. I wrote the name and address down but with moving things around for the Holidays, it got mixed in with something and I haven't found that name and address since. I know I have it someplace.
