I have a sideways connection to the Roll family. My gggrandfather, John Kidd (1813-1875) had a daughter Lucinda Kidd (1834-1902) who married Jonathan Smith ROLL (1828-1904) 4 Sep 1851 in Elizabeth, Union, New Jersey. Lucinda and Jonathan had 5 children: John Joseph ROLL, born 4 Apr 1852, died 4 Sep 1853. Joseph Hedges ROLL, born 21 Apr 1854. Ann Lucinda ROLL, born 23 Sep 1860.
