Martha, Again, you have been very helpful in giving me clues, etc. I need to clarify, though. My JOHN SEARS who first married HATTIE/HETTY ANN RADLEY, I haven't proven as being in Hardin Co., KY. But his wife Hattie was born there. John Sears ended up in the same area of Coles Co., IL as the Radley's, in the area of Wabash Pt., (southwestern corner) which changed its name early on to Paradise. John's 2nd wife was widow Matilda (Roden) Roll. I find it interesting that the Roll's were in Muhlenberg Co., KY, in or near a town called Paradise. Since my John Sears' parents are both said to have been born in KY, they would have had to be there fairly early. The one older brother we know for him, Isaac Sears, was born in 1811, KY. Do you know if there are published records for the Sears Cemetery in Muhlenberg Co., KY? I hadn't heard of a Sears Cemetery in Hardin Co., KY - do you have more data on that? I'm going to Salt Lake City this spring to the Family History Library, and if records are published, I can research them there. Also, would be interested in more data on the mother of William B. Roden - who was Susannah Swank. I find the Swank surname popping up here and there in KY. I think my only hope in locating my John Sears' KY place of birth and parents is to pursue the migration patterns. It's been a 25 year search, but with the Internet things are beginning to piece together a bit more. I'll probably die with my hands glued to the keyboard. Donna Sears Chernick Bellevue, WA
