Roll must have died between 1860 and 1870 census records. I found Matilda Roll and Thomas Roll in 1880 Fed. Census, Osborne Co., KS, Bethany twp., p. 1 6-6 Sears, John, age 62, farmer, b. KY, both parents b. KY -- [This is my gg-grandfather] Sears, Matilda, age 60, wife, keepinghouse, b. IN, father b. IN, mother b. SC -- [Matilda (Roden) Roll - 2nd wife of John Sears.] 6-7 Roll, Thomas, age 24, farmer, b. NE, both parents b. IN Roll, Laura A., age 15, wife, keepinghouse, b. NE, both parents b. IL -- [This is the granddaugther of John Sears, through his daughter Evaline (Sears) Jemison who was married to Jacob F. Jemison.] William B. Roll and wife Matilda lived in the same general area of Nebraska as John Sears. John Sears first wife died between 1865-1870 in NE or MO.
