A notation at the bottom of the page for Benjamin Roll, 1st wife, Sarah Culbertson, 2nd wife, Sarah Cory Harper, reads: Benjamin Roll was born at Derry Twp., Mifflin Co., Penn. He moved to the eastern part of Ohio, near Youngstown, at an early age. While there, he served a time in the Army. Sometime after 1815, he moved to Butler Co., Ohio where he remained until April 1823. He then settled in Darke Co., Ohio on a farm where he remained until his death.
