Hello Listers! I am new to the List. I am trying to find the descendants of Moses Rogers who was the captain of the first steam ship, "Savannah" to sail the Atlantic from New York in 1819. We have an elderly friend who says his mother looked after the gt grandaughter of Moses Rogers. At the time, his mother was living in Tucson Arizona. Now, this elderly gentleman is 85yrs old - so from what he has told us, this gt grandaughter died about 1940s. We are trying to establish the name of this gt grandaughter. Does anyone have any knowledge of the descendants of Moses Rogers? I would be interested to hear from anyone who has any clues or a connection or anyone that can help. Thanks very much, Judy Jones.
