    2. I have been trying to post the message below to the ROGERS Message board for two days and keep getting an error message. I'm not sure why. I'm logged in and recognized as a user but get an error page when I press the Submit Query button. Hopefully this will get to someone who might have information for me. Thanks! Marsha mrmfamily@aol.com I am STILL <G> searching for my gg-grandfather, Emsley Rogers/Rodgers prior to his appearing in Darke Co Ohio. Emsley shows up in Darke Co. in 1835 when he married Nancy Rush/Rust. I have various documents / sources that state he was born in Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Depending on the document, he was born in 1804 or 1810 in one of those four states (although PA has not been totally eliminated, it is not likely). It is likely that his parents were born in Virginia and that his father's name may have been John. Wow! Now there's a big help! I have to laugh! This is obviously my brick wall! Emsley and Nancy are buried in the Ithaca Cemetery in Darke Co. Ohio. Emsley and Nancy had the following children: John Rogers - b/d unknown. Fought in the Civil War and is buried in the Winchester Cemetery in Virginia Mary Rogers CRAWFORD b1839 d1915 Eight children. Buried in Ithaca Cemetery Darke Co.
