ROGERS, b: 1822 in NY. Eliza m: Samuel W. SPENCER, probably in NY and had Ellen A. "Nellie" ROGERS SPENCER in 1842 in NY. Ellen appears to be the only child. The family moved to Aurora, Portage, OH sometime between Ellen's birth in 1842 and 1850 when the family appears on the census there. Censuses show that Eliza ROGERS's father was born in MA and her mother was born in VT. I am wondering if my ROGERS family could be connected to Zephaniah. If anyone can make a match or even an educated guess, I would appreciate a reply.
