Dear Leo, We do not connect here, but we have come across the names in our searches in Missouri. We will go back through our notes and see what we have. My Rogers line in Missouri is James Braden Rogers, migrated from Tennesee and his son William H. Rogers who was born 1862 in Webster County. Talk to you soon. Dear Leo, We will keep an eye out for your family. Your mother was a Rogers from Missouri? William and James were VERY common names in the Rogers line. There were only 5 William Rogers and 7 James Rogers that we have come across to this point. Most, if not all, have come from the Kentucky/Tennessee/North and South Carolina area to Missouri. This has made the search very rough. We will see if we can find anything and let you know. Thank you for writing back. Dear Reta & Bill, My name is Linda Brown and my Mother's ancestry is the Rogers family, only, they started in Virginia with the first Rogers (from Ireland - Charles) and wound up in West Virginia. One son, William Fisher Rogers had a bad case of "itchy feet", so, he loaded up his family and headed west. They landed in Saint Louis, started scattering to Missouri, Kansas, Washington and Oregon. We too have a lot of the same names - John, William, James, etc. so its just a matter of where a particular branch began. Does the West Virginia Rogers ring any bells at all?
